In order to create spaces that transform our client’s unique lifestyle and aesthetic through our eclectic, colorful lens, each project is structured upon our tried and true design process to deliver our clients the highest level of satisfaction, quality and value.
After reviewing your inquiry as a team, we will schedule a Discovery Call to discuss your project goals, educate you on our process and start to get to know each other. If we feel that the project is a good fit, we will schedule an in-home Consultation.
During the Consultation, we’ll walk through the home and discuss the full scope in detail. Timeline, investment and objectives for the home will all be addressed, as well as your lifestyle and values to ensure that our design plan is fully tailored to your needs and desires.
Following the Consultation, we will create a proposal of our services for your approval. Using data and expertise from past projects, we will provide you with an estimate of hours to design, manage and execute the project from concept to completion. The proposal will also review fee structure and policies. Our objective is to create a positive working relationship built upon a foundation of trust and communication from the project’s inception.
Once the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted, we’ll invite you to our studio for a Kick-Off Meeting. You’ll get to know our entire team, review our Style Survey as well as your own inspiration images and browse samples for materials and finishes. We’ll review our contract together and discuss how to best work together to achieve success in an efficient fashion.
We’ll come to your home for our Mood Boards and Measurements Meeting to present the design concept for your project, collecting feedback and gaining approval before moving onto sourcing specific pieces for the spaces in question. We will also use this time to collect detailed measurements and capture photos throughout the home for reference to aid us in our design development.
This is an opportunity for our dedicated, steadfast team of tradespeople to visit the home, meet with you as a client and estimate the work to be completed in conjunction with our design. Our highly-vetted trades welcome all questions and concerns and are happy to advise on their areas of expertise.
Once the design work is completed, we will return to your home for the Design Presentation. We will bring everything we’ve created for the space including drawings, renderings, product proposals and samples. Starting with the color palette, material mix and inspiration, we will walk you through the furnishings, fixtures, artwork and materials we have sourced for your project before reviewing pricing, trade estimates and proposed timelines for project completion.
Once the design is approved, we begin procuring your goods and managing any and all orders from start to finish to provide you with the true full-service experience. This phase is undoubtedly the lengthiest and it’s structured with intention to ensure that progress is always being made, much of it behind the scenes. Waiting is by far the hardest part of this process and our Project Coordinator will proactively keep you in the loop with bi-weekly status updates.
Throughout procurement and trade work, our team will continue to manage the project in a thorough and proactive manner. Every detail is thoroughly considered and addressed to cohere with the overall design plan. This includes ensuring that all furniture arrives in perfect quality, trade work is specified and completed to the highest possible standard and deliveries are conducted without incident, all while keeping the project on schedule and budget. Once your items have been received, inspected and approved at the warehouse we will schedule the installation of goods at your home. The ultimate goal is to bestow our clients with a completed home that represents them conveyed through the Michelle Gage Interiors lens. Our design process has been developed and refined to deliver you with a home that is unique to your family and tailored to the way YOU live.
