Green With Envy Nursery For Twins

We’ve got another exciting reveal for you today – meet our whimsical wooded nursery for two!

This space started as a blank canvas and we were tasked with creating a soothing sleep space for our client’s expectant twins. We were so excited to find out that they were having both a boy and girl – and wanted to give them a room that was gender neutral. We landed on a green and brown color scheme, skipping the pinks and blues. We brought in natural materials (leather, wood, rattan) to compliment the theme in the wallpaper.

The wallpaper was our starting point – as it makes such a statement! We knew painting the trim a fun color would also elevate the space and be a great way to pull out the green tones from the paper’s print. From there, we sourced other elements that would make the space come alive, including these little paper mache busts (spot the cute little mice above the dresser and bear by the cribs).

Since we needed to fit two cribs into the room, we had to get smart with our storage solutions. We wanted to include book storage, but didn’t really have the floor space for one so we had these bookshelves custom made by a local woodworker.

We’re tickled by the thought of these newborn babes growing up in a room that’s so comforting. Nurseries are great rooms to have a little fun in – we just love designing them! If you’re searching for more tips on how to design your own, see these stories we wrote for Domino – on gender neutral nurseries, wallpapered nurseries and ones that work for twins.
