Transforming this charming home into one that has incredible function was no small feat. We removed a ceiling beam in the kitchen and reworked the entire layout to gain extra storage. Upstairs, we turned an awkward closet into a space for a washer, dryer, sink and cabinetry. Checkered floors add a layer of whimsy to this otherwise utilitarian room.
