We are so excited to welcome you all to take a step inside our whimsical office in Chestnut Hill. We have always admired the area for its charm and variety in businesses – so we were ecstatic when the office space became available off of German Town Avenue.
It was important to us to design a workspace true to our brand and our values. We approached our office as we would any client project: meticulously with attention to detail and tailored to our team who needs a space to create and collaborate in.
It’s been a labor of love to design a space that is not only inspiring for our team, but also informative to our clients. We selected furnishings and accessories from our preferred vendors so that clients can see and feel the beautiful quality that we offer. We left no detail to chance, from our upholstered seating to lighting selections – and, of course, whimsical wallpaper.
Our conference room offers the perfect setting for meeting with clients to discuss their projects. We can spread out drawings, materials, finishes and fabrics while reviewing concepts, drawings and furnishings on our wall-mounted TV. It allows for a truly collaborative design process between our design team and our clients. We also use the space frequently for internal project meetings, events and vendor appointments.
In our studio, we have thousands of samples that show our clients exactly what we are specifying for their project – to help them fully envision the possibilities of the materials in their home.
The heart of our studio is the materials library. This is where we house thousands of fabric and wallpaper swatches, dozens of rug samples and numerous bins of tile and stone. The trick to having an efficient design process starts with a well-organized library!
While visiting our studio, you can not only see and touch samples, but you can also see furniture from our favorite brands. You can sit on and specify the comfort you want in a sofa. You can touch the rattan of a bookcase or open the drawers of a burl dresser. You can see how a wool rug or marble table top wears over time – and how an unlacquered brass faucet will develop a patina.
Our studio space has amazing natural light that gives everything a bright, fresh and happy feel. We firmly believe in beautiful spaces enhancing our clients’ lives and we wanted that for ourselves as well – to be able to design our best work. With that in mind, we intentionally designed a warm, welcoming and functional workspace – which includes a kitchenette and break area. We love coming in to work together every day in such an inspiring and collaborative environment.
We approached our bathroom design just like we would any project. The deep maroon tones create a moody sanctuary. The custom marble sink and unlacquered brass faucet elevate the powder room. The blue linen sink skirt color is pulled from the hints of blues and greens in the wallpaper.
Our pinboard walls are perhaps the most inspiring section of our office. This is the hub of our design team’s inspiration. Favorite wallpapers and fabric samples are pinned here to use on future design projects. The additional bistro seating is used for coffee chats, book reading and daily pattern pairing.
With each project we take on, we aim to tell the story of the people who live there while aligning with the bones of the home – and of course, while infusing a sense of playfulness, whimsy and charm. Our team is full of creative thinkers with diverse backgrounds – striking the perfect balance between left and right brains.
